Beginning in the 2015-16 school year, preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation commences in 6th grade and continues throughout the freshman year of high school. Because this is a new change, it will take two years to get students on track to receive this sacrament by their sophomore year. The sequence of classes will be as such:
6th grade: Bible Timeline/Salvation History (Encounter) and Altaration
7th grade: Theology of the Body for Teens
8th grade: Year One Chosen
9th grade: Year Two Chosen
All four courses need to be completed before the reception of the sacrament. It is expected that students also complete mission work and participate in a retreat experience in Year Two - Chosen. The celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place in the fall of the sophomore year of High School.
